It is with great pleasure that we welcome you and your child to our school community. Whether your child is beginning their journey with us in Year 6 or joining us from another school, we are excited to partner with you during this important stage of their academic and personal development.

On behalf of our entire Secondary School team, I warmly welcome you to a new school year at Ayeyarwaddy International School. My name is Dr. Shahrazad Kablan (Dr. K), and I am honored to be the new Secondary School Principal.

As Principal, I bring with me over 25 years of diverse experience in education, having served in various roles across different schools and educational settings.

Throughout my career, I have remained deeply committed to fostering academic excellence and student growth.

Every student has the potential to achieve at the highest levels when challenged, supported, and inspired. My educational philosophy centers on setting high expectations, cultivating a culture of respect and responsibility, and ensuring that every child is known, valued, and given the tools to succeed. I am proud to lead a dedicated team that shares this vision and works tirelessly to help all students reach their highest potential.

Our dedicated team of international Lead Teachers and experienced local Assistant Teachers are ready to welcome your children into warm, engaging classrooms where they will grow as critical thinkers, effective communicators, and socially responsible citizens.

Our curriculum emphasizes critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration—skills that are essential for success in an ever-evolving world. Our high school program includes a wide array of Advanced Placement (AP) courses, equipping students with the academic foundation and confidence to pursue admission to top-tier universities around the globe. AIS graduates have gone on to study at prestigious institutions including Ivy League universities in the U.S., as well as leading universities in Canada, the UK, Australia, and beyond.
