2017/2018

During the 2017/2018 college tour trip, our students were able to attend 10 different colleges and universities in four major cities along the West coast of the United States. Students were taken on tours by college students and college faculty on a variety of campuses. The students were able to compare large and small colleges, urban and rural colleges, and business-centered and arts-centered colleges. They gained valuable information about life in college and began to better understand important information for being accepted to colleges. They listened to professors and interacted with the college career counselors in order to better determine an individual plan for applications in the future. The students were also able to have meaningful experiences in and around the major cities. They went on a boat tour under the Golden Gate Bridge, they rode rollercoasters in Los Angeles, they went to the Museum of Pop Culture in Seattle, and much more. On this trip the students learned important responsibilities, they learned more about American culture, and they gained a meaningful experience that will help them to better understand their futures after AIS. We look forward to another successful college trip in the 2018/2019 school year. This year, we will be planning a trip to the northeastern USA.
