Welcome to AIS Montessori Preschool!
In the AIS Montessori Preschool, we have two fundamental goals. One is to build a peaceful, respectful and trusting community with students, teachers, and parents. With everyone’s cooperation and support, we have built a thriving and trusting community of learning as we work to support each child’s development.
The second goal is to ensure that students feel safe with their learning. We have highly trained teachers to use specialized and well-designed Montessori learning materials. We use attractive materials and lessons to stimulate each student’s interests and to motivate them in their learning. Students have the freedom to choose lessons by themselves, to develop their own talents and learn to make decisions for themselves (independent, motivated, responsible learners). We provide units and lessons that allow students to be self-reliant; they learn to take care of themselves (put their shoes and clothes on, brush their teeth…) and take care of their belongings (lunchbox, etc.). In addition to learning & improving their English and Myanmar languages, we want students to enjoy their learning, to have confidence, and improve their social skills and creative thinking skills. We care about each child’s whole mind & body development.
We also care about Myanmar culture and cultural awareness. In the AIS Preschool we have many cultural activities such as the Lantern Festival, Winter Celebration (Go Around the World), Water Festival, and more. We enjoy helping our students learn about other cultures while teaching them to value their own culture.
