AIS students participated in the Kagoshima Asian Youth Arts Festival held in Kagoshima City on November 25 and 26, 2023, actively engaging in a students' exchange program as a part of their involvement in the event.
2019
AIS students represented Myanmar, alongside representatives from eight other Asian countries, at the 14th Kagoshima Asian Youth Arts Festival (KAYAF) held in Kagoshima, Japan from October 18 to October 20, 2019. Myanmar students performed not only Myanmar traditional dances but also classical music in Housan Hall and in the public park. During the event, Myanmar students had opportunities to share Myanmar traditions and arts with students from other countries. They also had a chance to see interesting traditional musical performances of other Asian countries. In addition to performances, all the participants took part in the Kagoshima Asian Cultural Fair. The fair included stalls that sold different food, drinks, souvenirs, clothing, and showcased other fun activities. Myanmar students visited Kagoshima University and also did some student exchange activities with Grade 3 students from Tagami Elementary School. This is the second time that AIS students were invited by the Mayor of Kagoshima to attend the festival. We look forward to seeing all our friends, brothers and sisters from Asia next year.
